The Prophet (S.A.W) explains to us also that a person’s Du’a depends on how much you NAG Allah (S.W.T) did I say nag? Yes. How much you nag him. Subhana’Allah. When you nag at a human being what do they do to you? How do they respond? They get frustrated from you. They become annoyed from you. They don’t even want to see your face anymore. They get so annoyed that they might get angry at you and frown at you and say words you dislike. Something like God you are so annoying. But when you NAG ALLAH (S.W.T) the more Allah (S.W.T) loved your nagging. It’s the opposite. This is why the Prophet (S.A.W) people come and say I made du’a and I made du’a then Allah (S.W.T) did not respond to me. Prophet (S.A.W.) So then he gives up hope and he stops making du’a and Allah would’ve probably almost about to respond. Do you see? Never GIVE UP HOPE IN YOUR DU’A. NAG ALLAH (S.W.T.). The Prophet (S.A.W.) ASK ALLAH AND NAG ALLAH IN YOUR ASKING. NAG HIM. ALLAH (S.W.T) LOVES THE SERVANT WHO NAGS ALLAH (S.W.T.)
In another hadith the Prophet (S.A.W.) explains that Allah sometimes likes to DELAY the response when the servant is asking Him and calling out to Him because Allah loves His servants to praise Him and to mention His name on their tongue because He loves them so much that He wants His name to be mentioned on their tongue more and more and Allah sometimes DELAYS the repsonse becuase if He knows that through that DELAYING you are rising in your levels in the Hereafter and Allah (S.W.T.) only wants you to come CLOSER TO HIM. You know that there are levels in Jannah and the higher you are the CLOSER YOU ARE TO ALLAH. Because ALLAH LOVES YOU SO MUCH He delays the response. How’s
that? But there isn’t a single du’a of a Mu’min except that it will always be responded. IF NOT IN THIS LIFE THEN IN THE HEREAFTER.
Some people they think Allah has betrayed them in their du’a and they worship Allah well. DON’T EVER THINK THAT. Because know this if Allah (S.W.T) cares for you and He does. If He knows that what you are asking is actually going to ask more harm to you He will not respond and He will leave to the hereafter. Because Allah S.W.T. you may hate something when it’s actually good for you and also you may love something which is actually bad for you. So Allah (S.W.T.) will give you something if He knows that it’s good for you. YOU HAVE TO RELY ON ALLAH.THAT’S THE TEST. DO YOU RELY ON ALLAH (S.W.T.)? Off course. THEN DEPEND ON HIM AND DON’T WORRY. ALLAH (S.W.T) HEARS YOUR DU’A ALL THE TIME
EXPLANATION :
NAG MEANS: for example to ask too many times.
“And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad (PBUH)) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor (wasila)). So let them hear My call and let them trust in Me, in order that they may be led aright.”
[Al-Quran, Chapter 2: Baqarah, verse 186]”“Is not He (Allah alone) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil?” (Al-Quran, 27:62)
And your Lord says: Call on Me, I will answer your (prayer). But Those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in hell, in humiliation.” [Al-Quran, Surah Mu’min, verse 60]
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH), “The supplication of a slave continues to be granted as long as he does not supplicate for a sinful thing or for something that would cut off the ties of kinship and he does not grow impatient.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah! What does growing impatient mean?” He (PBUH) said, “It is one’s saying: `I supplicated again and again but I do not think that my prayer will be answered.’ Then he becomes frustrated (in such circumstances) and gives up supplication altogether.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
`Ubadah bin As-Samit (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whenever a Muslim supplicates Allah, He accepts his supplication or averts any similar kind of trouble from him until he prays for something sinful or something that may break the ties of kinship.” Upon this someone of the Companions said: “Then we shall supplicate plenty.” The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Allah is more plentiful (in responding).”

Ask Allah and nag Allah ..Allah loves it when His servant nags him ..Allah sometimes delays the dua because HE loves HIS name on His servants’ tongue..HE delays the response of dua because HE loves the mention of His name on ur tongue..because Allah loves u ur test is to rely on Allah SWT..Allah listens ur dua all the time.. Allah is so merciful and generous that HE responds to a kafirs dua Allah responds to a kafir’s dua if he calls on Allah only a person dua depends on how much u nag Allah SWT..when u nag human being ..what happens???..

Brothers and sisters ask Allah as much as u can ..and especially at times when we are happy and blessed by Allah, gather the treasure of dua/supplications during times of happiness and ease..and when a distress comes tell Allah about the dua/supplications u made at times of ease..We pray 5 times a day , cant we appoint one prayer for long talks with Allah?? most prefferably isha or tahajjud or fajar.. when we are not in hurry ..praise Allah in anyone of the prayer very beautifully calmly say SubhanAllah 33 times (All Glorry to Allah), Alhumdulliah 33 times (All praises are for Allah 33 times), AllahoAkbar ( Allah is the greatest) 34 times, Recite Surah fatiha keeping its meaning in mind, send blessings to Prophet Muhammad SWS , and then in sajdah (prostration) ask Allah whatever u want ..tell Allah ur difficulties sorrows, ask for forgiveness , repent for sins u know and u dont know, beg HIM , nag HIM, ask each dua 3 times atleast, ask for people who are suffering, ask for whole ummat e muslimah, recite “Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom bi rahmatika astagheeth (O Ever-Living, O Eternal, by Your mercy I seek help).” again and again ..and in the end say Ameen and end dua with darood shareef ( sending blessings to Prophet Muhammad SWS)…
and in the rest of the prayers u can simply ask Allah to grant you whatever u asked in fajar prayer , or isha prayer ..its good to repeat this process in all the prayers..but normally we are so much occupied with work during zuhr, asr, maghrib prayer ..its like registering ur dua ..to ask Allah again n again in rest of the prayers to grant u whatever u asked in fajar prayer..or isha prayer..Remember Allah is Al Qadir ..HE SWT creates the causes/wayouts ..when u ask Allah remember HE SWT is Ya Kreemu , WHO grants HIS servant instead of his ungratefulness and sins , and more than HIS servant deserves.. remember the blessings u have got without asking, remember if Allah had granted u only what u ask for , then we would have been deprived from so many blessings , HE SWT gives more than we ask and deserve ..

The Prophet SWS has encouraged us to “Ask and you will be given…” (at-Tirmithi) Allah will give you! How could He not when you are striving only for His Sake?
In those moments in the last third of the night, in those two rakahs which you make out of pure frustration of your situation, weeping, asking Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala – exalted is He) to answer you – do you not think Allah the Rabb al-`alameen (Lord of the Worlds) will not respond to you? Allahu Akbar (God is the Greatest), this is Allah! Without doubt Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) is going to answer you!
The Prophet Muhammad SWS relates from Allah in a hadith Qudsi:
“Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth’s sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: ‘Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?’” (Bukhari)
